In this process, the fresh distillate is filtered drop by drop through a thick layer of charcoal made from sugar maple. This special process ensures the legendary mildness and soft character that makes Jack Daniel's so unmistakable. The whiskey is then matured in handmade American white oak barrels, where it acquires its aroma and amber colour.
