Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is made from a carefully selected blend of corn, rye and malted barley. Its characteristic flavour comes from the unique charcoal mellowing process, in which the whiskey is filtered drop by drop through a layer of maple charcoal several metres thick before being matured in barrels. This process gives it its legendary mildness and unmistakably smooth character. It is then matured in handmade new oak barrels, which give it its colour, vanilla and caramel notes and pleasant smokiness.
