In this process, the fresh distillate is filtered drop by drop through a thick layer of sugar maple charcoal. This special process gives it the legendary smoothness and mellow character that make Jack Daniel’s so distinctive. The whisky is then matured in handcrafted American white oak casks, where it develops its aroma and amber colour.
