The Malecon Añejo 8 Años is distilled from molasses and matures for eight years in selected oak barrels that previously contained bourbon. This ageing gives it its round structure and the typical notes of vanilla, caramel, oak and subtle dried fruit. At 40% by volume, it is pleasantly mild and versatile - both neat and in classic rum cocktails. The elegant 0.7-litre bottle also makes it an attractive choice for the home bar or as a gift.
