The Demerara distillery, located on the tropical north coast of South America in Guyana, has been processing sugar cane since 1670 and has built up an outstanding reputation over the centuries. The EL DORADO brand, which is known worldwide as a premium brand for high-quality rum, is characterised by its artfully crafted blended rums.

These are produced not only from different vintages and batches, but also using different distillation processes, including the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills and the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot stills. The rum is matured over a period of 12 years in selected oak barrels, which gives it its special depth and complexity that makes it particularly desirable to connoisseurs.
