The Dellavalle Grappa Affinata in botti di Ciliegio comes from the traditional Distilleria Roberto Dellavalle in Vigliano d'Asti in Piedmont and impresses with its elegant, fruity barrel ageing. For this bottling, selected pomace is distilled using the traditional method in small copper stills in order to preserve the fine flavours of the Piedmontese grape varieties in a clear and unadulterated way. The grappa is then matured in cherry wood barrels (botti di ciliegio), which give it its characteristic, slightly sweet woody notes and warm, red-fruity flavour. Bottled at 42 per cent by volume, this grappa displays a harmonious balance of fresh fruit, gentle spiciness and subtle depth of wood. The cherry wood maturation makes it a speciality within the Dellavalle portfolio and emphasises the elegant structure of this grappa from Piedmont.


The influence of the cherry wood creates a soft, finely balanced aroma characterised by both fruity and spicy components.
