Hine RARE VSOP The Original Fine Champagne Cognac 40% vol. comes from the long-established Maison Hine in Jarnac, whose history dates back to 1763. The house was founded by Thomas Hine, an Englishman who settled in the Charente region, thereby laying the foundations for a cognac tradition that is still upheld today. Since 1962, Hine has also held a Royal Warrant from the British Royal Family. For the Hine RARE VSOP Fine Champagne, at least 25 different eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne are blended together, with at least half originating from Grande Champagne. A distinctive feature of the production process is the double distillation on the fine lees, which imparts additional aromatic depth and texture. The eaux-de-vie are then aged in fine-pored, lightly toasted French oak casks, whose subtle influence preserves the elegant fruitiness.

Created in 1999, Hine RARE VSOP Cognac is aged for an average of around six years, giving it sufficient time to develop its characteristic blend of floral finesse, fruit and subtle oak notes. Hine utilises both humid and dry cellars to deliberately combine different ageing conditions and achieve a harmonious balance between a smooth texture and subtle oaky notes. The lightly toasted barrels made of fine-grained oak enhance notes of dried fruit, vanilla, cocoa and caramel, without overpowering the cognac with dominant toasted aromas. At 40% ABV and in a 0.7-litre bottle, the Hine RARE VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac is a classically composed blend that combines traditional double distillation with fine lees, careful barrel selection and the stylistic elegance of the House of Hine.
