El Jolgorio Mezcal Espadín is an artisanal premium mezcal from Mexico that reflects the deep tradition of Zapotec distillers in Oaxaca. With an alcohol content of 48.8% vol. and bottled in a 0.5-litre bottle, this mezcal is an intense and authentic representative of the Espadín agave, characterised by its exceptional purity and artisanal precision.


It is made exclusively from the Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia), which thrives in the high altitudes of Oaxaca. After a maturation period of up to eight years, the agaves are traditionally cooked in earth pit ovens over wood fires, then crushed with stones and fermented in open wooden barrels. The double distillation in small copper stills preserves the unmistakable character of the plant and gives the distillate its striking clarity and aromatic intensity. Particularly exclusive: the agave harvest for this edition took place in 2018 and the bottling is limited to just 410 bottles worldwide. This makes this mezcal not only an authentic flavour experience, but also a real rarity.
