As an independent bottler, Signatory has the opportunity to acquire selected casks from across Scotland that are normally used in blends and market them under its own label as single malts. This process involves the targeted selection of specific distillations or batches from the distilleries, meticulous tasting of each cask and the bottling of only the highest quality casks from each batch.

The 10-year-old Whitlaw whisky from the Signatory Vintage series is an outstanding single malt selected by Signatory from special single casks - including rare bottlings from closed distilleries. Founded by Andrew Symington in the late 1980s, the company has always maintained close links with renowned distilleries and today has more than 10,000 carefully selected casks in its warehouses.

This special island whisky is matured in first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and second fill Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a complex and nuanced flavour. With a slightly higher strength of 46%, it is bottled without the addition of colouring agents. The Whitlaw is characterised by its mild, smooth taste, which makes it an excellent choice for both experienced connoisseurs and beginners.
