Antica Distilleria Domenico Sibona S.p.A. is located in the heart of Piedmont, in Piobesi d'Alba to be precise, in the centre of the region where some of the best Piedmontese wines originate. It is one of the oldest and most traditional distilleries in Piedmont, which gives it a special place in Italian distillery culture.

Due to this long tradition and its historical value, Sibona holds the prestigious "Licenza di Distillazione No. 1". This rare distillery licence is only awarded by the Italian tax office to distilleries that stand out for their exceptional history and consistent quality. Distilleria Sibona thus embodies not only artisanal excellence, but also the legacy of a centuries-old tradition that continues in the production of top-quality products.

The Grappa di Barolo Invecchiata 5 Anni is made from fresh Nebbiolo pomace, which is quickly delivered to the production facility and immediately distilled in a continuous distillation process. This early processing and the distillation process make a decisive contribution to the high quality of the grappa. After distillation, the distillate matures for a year in stainless steel barrels before being transferred to small oak barriques.

The grappa is a blend of the best single-varietal grappas from different vintages, which are first blended and then aged for a further year. The subsequent five-year maturation in barrique barrels gives it a deep amber colour and pronounced woody notes.
