The Macallan 12 Years Old Colour Collection is part of a special series that honours The Macallan's uncompromising commitment to natural colour and careful sherry seasoning. The distillery in Speyside has been synonymous with exceptional cask quality and precise maturation for generations. For this bottling, American oak casks are used, which were previously seasoned with sherry wine in Jerez de la Frontera. A discreet proportion of European oak complements the maturation and provides additional structure and depth.


As the latest bottling in the series, the Macallan 12 Years Colour Collection 0.7 l has the lightest natural colour in the range, an elegant golden oak, which is created exclusively by the cask maturation. The packaging was designed in collaboration with artist and graphic designer David Carson, who used Albariza chalk from Jerez as a design element. The iconic Easter Elchies House, the spiritual home of The Macallan, is depicted next to the whisky. This Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 40% combines cultural inspiration with the traditional art of maturation and comes in a gift box.
