The name Kawama is based on the Caguama turtle, a symbol historically regarded by local tribes as the mother of mankind. This Cuban rum Kawama honours the heritage and symbolic meaning of the Caribbean turtle and delights connoisseurs worldwide with its unique spirit.

Kawama 19 Extra Anejo is a high-quality Cuban rum known for its exceptionally long ageing period of almost two decades. Produced by the Ronera Cardenas company and distilled by the experienced maestro ronero Cesar Augusto Marti Marcelo, this rum is made from molasses using continuous distillation in a column still. The many years of ageing in American white oak barrels in Cuba's tropical climate contribute to the complexity and depth of flavour.

As a blend, the Kawama 19 Extra Anejo combines various distillates that have been matured for up to 19 years and is characterised by a relatively low alcohol content. This rum is the oldest bottling in the range and even surpasses the Extra Anejo 13 in terms of ageing time, making it particularly recommended for pure enjoyment.
