The Brugal 1888 first matures for several years in carefully selected ex-bourbon oak barrels before undergoing its second maturation phase in fine Spanish sherry barrels. This elaborate doblemente añejado process gives the rum its remarkable depth, elegance and structure. The combination of American and European oak ensures a balanced interplay of flavour, wood and subtle sweetness. Bottled at 40 %, this rum is harmonious, round and multi-layered, complemented by the high-quality gift box, which further emphasises its prestigious character.
