The Kavalan SOLIST Manzanilla Cask extends the expressive range of the Kavalan Distillery, whose whiskies are known worldwide for their musically inspired names and multi-faceted flavours. Series such as Solist and Concertmaster have established themselves internationally and reflect the diversity of Taiwanese whisky production. This single cask bottling is matured in selected Manzanilla sherry casks, which are located directly on the coast and therefore offer particularly favourable conditions for maturation under flor yeast. The resulting style is similar to a fino sherry, but has an even more delicate, mineral-influenced texture with a subtle salty nuance.


The whisky is bottled as a genuine single cask and appears in natural cask strength at 58.6% by volume, naturally unchill-filtered and without colouring. Due to Taiwan's tropical climate, this Manzanilla Cask Single Malt matures exceptionally intensively, resulting in a complex structure characterised by the combination of sea breeze, flor yeast influence and cask character. The presentation in an elegant wooden box emphasises the exclusive claim of this limited bottling and makes it a special highlight within the Solist series.
