In the 10th century, during the reign of King Gagik I of the Bagratuni dynasty, a luxurious residence was built on Akhtamar Island.
The name of the island is derived from the legend of Princess Tamar and her love for a handsome young Manner who drowned in Lake Van with the words "Ah, Tamar".
Mount Ararat is the most cherished symbol of Armenian culture. The oldest vineyards in the world are located on its slopes.
The Ararat Charles Aznavour Signature Blend is a blend of special and rare wine distillates. Charles Aznavour took part in a tasting and selected wine distillates for the blend, each of which reflects a moment in his life's work. This brandy contains wine distillates from 1956, 1960 and 1981. It matures for 25 years.
