Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

Grappa is one of the oldest and most traditional spirits in Italy, produced from the pomace, the residue of grape pressing. Grappa Riserva Privata Barricata is made from the pomace of the renowned Amarone della Valpolicella wine, which is known for its exceptional quality and depth. After a careful three-stage distillation process, this grappa matures for around 18 months in selected Slavonian, Limousin and American oak barrels, developing an impressive variety of flavours and exceptional complexity.
