In the past, peat was used to dry the barley towards the end of the malting process, resulting in a gentle, earthy smoky aroma. It is precisely this traditional style that Traditionally Peated reinterprets. It is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry casks and port casks, which lend the subtle peaty smoke additional depth and a harmonious, fruit-forward character. This expression thus combines the classic GlenDronach style with an elegant smoky note.
