In the late 1990s, a group of friends had the ambitious plan to establish the first whisky distillery in Wales for over a century. Their aim was to create a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold. In 2004, on St David's Day, this dream became a reality when Penderyn Whisky saw the light of day. The distillery owes its uniqueness in part to the copper still designed by Dr David Faraday with a special still. It is located in the village of Penderyn, at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons. The pure spring water from the region contributes significantly to the quality of the exceptional Penderyn whiskies.

Faraday Whisky from Penderyn is an exclusive creation for travel retail and a tribute to the innovative distilling technique of Dr David Faraday. Named after the unique Faraday still he designed, this single malt embodies the perfect balance between tradition and modern distilling craftsmanship. The maturation process begins in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks before a finish in ex-Ruby port casks gives it its complex and profound flavours.
