The basis is a blend of the finest molasses rums, which are slowly matured under tropical conditions in ex-bourbon barrels made from American white oak. The rum is then finished in heavily toasted barrels, which gives the rum its distinctive, smoky depth and complex wood structure. The result is a powerful yet balanced rum with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, toasted oak, coffee and a hint of spice.
