The Kraken Black Spiced is a rum-based spirit with a distinctive character, containing 40 per cent alcohol by volume in a 1-litre bottle, and is renowned for its intense flavour and striking design. Unlike a classic rum, The Kraken is classified as a rum-based spirit, as the matured rum is refined with a variety of selected spices. It is made from molasses distillates derived from sugar cane grown in Trinidad and Tobago. After two years’ ageing in ex-bourbon casks, the spirit acquires its unmistakable aroma through the addition of a total of 14 different spices. Its characteristic dark colour is achieved using caramel colouring and emphasises the powerful presence of this cult spirit.
