Togouchi is produced by Chugoku Jozo, a distillery in the city of Togouchi in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The distillery is located in a natural cave system that was originally built as a railway tunnel, but was later converted into an ideal environment for maturing whisky. The cool, damp conditions in the tunnels provide an optimal climate for maturing whisky, resulting in a product that is rich in flavour and character.

The production process of Togouchi 9 Years is quite unique. After the whisky is distilled, it is transported to the tunnel, which was originally built as a railway tunnel, where it matures for at least nine years. During this time, the whisky absorbs the complex aromas and flavours of the oak casks in which it is stored.

Once the maturation process is complete, the whisky, now rich in flavour and character, is carefully blended and bottled before finally being shipped to retailers around the world to bring an exceptional taste experience to whisky lovers everywhere.
