The Angostura 1919 Premium Gold Rum Deluxe Aged Blend 40% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an authentic rum from Trinidad, produced entirely on the island - from the sugar cane cultivation to the final bottling. This rum is matured for at least eight years in ex-bourbon barrels, which are responsible for its soft structure, warm colour and complex aroma. The name "1919" recalls a historic event in the early 1930s: a devastating fire destroyed most of the rum barrels stored in the Government Rum Bond. A few barrels survived the fire and contained rum from the 1919 cask bottling. These rare stocks became the inspiration for today's bottling, which pays homage to this extraordinary time.
