Maturation takes place in a combination of Pedro Ximénez (PX) and Oloroso sherry casks, as well as port casks, resulting in a complex blend of sweet, fruity and spicy aromas. This selection of casks harmonises with the light smokiness to create the typical GlenDronach style, in which sherry cask character and peated smoke blend elegantly together. This Highland single malt whisky is bottled at 46 per cent, which allows its aromatic depth and structure to come to the fore particularly well.
