Zacapa 23 Centenario Gran Reserva, one of the most renowned and best-known rums in the world, is produced by the Guatemalan rum brand Zacapa, which was founded in 1976. Zacapa is internationally recognised for its high-quality rums, which are produced using a unique and extremely complex ageing process.

The rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala, where the cool climate and high altitude create optimal conditions for ageing. The sugar cane used, which grows on fertile volcanic soil, gives the rum a distinctive flavour profile that sets it apart from other varieties.

The Ron Zacapa Centenario Reserva Limitada 2014, which matures for between 6 and 24 years in heavily burnt American white oak and French oak barrels, was created by master blender Lorenza Vazquez, who was inspired by traditional Mayan rituals. These rituals, in which regional herbs are used, are reflected in the unique character of this rum.
