In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

The Gölles Alte Zwetschke plum brandy undergoes a maturation process of eight years in oak barrels, which gives it a complex profile with aromas of vanilla, wood and roasted flavours. With an alcohol content of 40%, this brandy appeals to lovers of intense flavours and is therefore also very popular with whisky enthusiasts. Its unique flavour positions it as an outstanding product in the world of fine brandies.
