Only particularly ripe agaves are used for Gran Patrón Burdeos; these are cooked, fermented and then double-distilled using traditional methods. After distillation, the tequila is aged in American and French oak casks before being transferred to used Bordeaux wine casks for a special finish.

The result is an exceptionally smooth, multi-layered tequila with a rich character, combining the typical notes of an aged agave distillate with the fruity, spicy depth of French red wine oak.
