The Planteray Rum PÉROU Single Cask Banyuls Barrel 2017 41.4% ABV 0.7 l is a limited-edition rum from Peru, part of the exclusive Planteray Single Cask Collection 2026. This exceptional rum is produced from sugar cane molasses at the Cartavio Distillery, where the molasses is first fermented for three days and then processed using column still distillation. Distilled in 2017, the rum is first matured for five years under tropical conditions in ex-bourbon casks, before being stored for a further 17 months in Ferrand casks in France. It derives its distinctive character from a final 27-month finishing period in a former Banyuls wine cask. After a total of eight years and eight months of cask maturation, this special edition is available at 41.4% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box.

Banyuls is a French sweet wine from the Roussillon region, produced predominantly from Grenache grapes, and whose pre-used casks allow for interesting influences on the rum’s maturation. With a dosage of 4 g of sugar per litre and its exceptional selection of casks, this bottling ranks among the most special rarities in the Planteray Single Cask series.
