The name A'bunadh comes from Gaelic and roughly translates as ‘the original’. With this traditional bottling, the Aberlour Distillery pays homage to a particularly authentic style of whisky. A key characteristic is the maturation in carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks made from Spanish oak, which define the intense and full-bodied character of the range. The whisky is bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring. Each batch of Aberlour A’BUNADH is released as a separate batch, meaning that the alcohol content and character may vary slightly between individual bottlings.
