The Macallan 18 Years Old DOUBLE CASK 2025 is an outstanding Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that impressively embodies the renowned Macallan Distillery’s uncompromising cask philosophy. This limited annual release for 2025 is matured for a full 18 years exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks, using both European and American oak. Both types of cask are first seasoned with sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, and lend this 18-year-old single malt its exceptional depth and balance.
The European oak provides a spicy structure and intense notes of dried fruit, whilst the American oak contributes sweetness, vanilla and a creamy smoothness. The result is a perfectly balanced double cask whisky with a natural colour derived solely from its long cask maturation.
