The Planteray Rum Barbados XO 20th Anniversary (formerly known under the Plantation label) is an exclusive rum creation that combines the best of the Caribbean rum art with French barrel ageing. This exceptional Extra Old (XO) bottling was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand and is a prime example of the fine art of rum refinement. The rum presents itself impressively in this large-format 1.75-litre bottle - ideal for collectors, restaurateurs or large celebrations.
Made from carefully selected Barbados rums, this edition was first matured for several years in bourbon barrels in a tropical climate before being further refined in small French oak cognac barrels in France. This elaborate, two-stage ageing process - also known as double ageing - gives the rum depth, structure and an exceptionally complex spectrum of flavours.
