The Tobermory 27 Years Old Expression 5 is an impressive and exceptionally matured bottling from the prestigious Tobermory distillery on the Scottish Isle of Mull. As the fifth instalment in a limited series, this edition epitomises a high level of craftsmanship, depth and elegance. With an impressive 27 years of maturation and a robust alcohol content of 53.1% ABV, this single malt presents itself as a multi-layered, expressive whisky with maritime influences and rare cask complexity.

The long maturation period in selected oak casks – often enhanced by special finishes such as in wine or sherry casks – gives the whisky a wonderfully balanced blend of fruitiness, spice and a mature woody structure. True to Tobermory’s tradition, this bottling retains the unpeated style, allowing the delicate fruit and cask notes to come to the fore. The whisky is bottled unchill-filtered and without colouring to preserve its original depth of character.

Within the range, Expression 5 stands for complexity, exclusivity and collectability – a whisky for true connoisseurs of matured Highland island whiskies.
