Ampersand Distilling Company is a family-run, artisanal distillery, idyllically situated on a five-hectare farm in the Cowichan Valley. Stephen and Jeremy Schacht, a father-and-son duo with backgrounds in engineering, draw on their extensive knowledge of science and traditional distillation techniques to produce exceptional spirits at their artisanal distillery.

In 2007, Stephen and Ramona moved to the Cowichan Valley to set up a vegetable farm. Their son Jeremy, fascinated by the art of distillation, was looking for a way to put his degree in process engineering to creative use. The result of these efforts is the Ampersand Distilling Company – a new family business that successfully combines innovation and tradition.

At Ampersand, it’s all about bringing together the best of different worlds: ingredients and techniques, science and art, tradition and innovation. This results in delicious spirits that are a must-have in any well-stocked bar.

Ampersand Mango Chilli Flavour Gin is made from juniper, carefully selected mango and chilli. This special blend combines the sweet aromas of mango with the subtle heat of chilli, resulting in a unique flavour profile. The heat of the chilli remains mild and pleasant, giving the gin a balanced and harmonious character.
