The Barceló Imperial 40 Aniversario Ron Dominicano is a limited-edition special release from the Dominican Republic, created to mark the 40th anniversary of Barceló Imperial. This exclusive bottling is based on selected private Imperial reserves from Miguel Barceló, which have been further refined especially for this anniversary edition. Following their initial maturation, the selected reserves underwent an additional two years’ cask ageing in American and French oak. Overall, a combination of American, French and European oak defines the character of this bottling. In this way, Ron Barceló combines its many years of experience in Dominican rum production with a selection of casks specifically tailored to the anniversary.


With a robust 43 per cent ABV, the Barceló Imperial 40 Aniversario is presented in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. The additional ageing lends this premium blend a distinctive blend of fruit, spices, nuts and oak. Particularly noteworthy are the limited edition status, the use of selected Imperial reserves and the additional ageing in various oak casks.
