Despite the Japanese-style bottle design and name, Akori Gin actually comes from Spain. However, the Destilerias Company, which produces this gin, is heavily inspired by flavours from the Far East. For example, typical Japanese botanicals such as dragon fruit, kumquats and Ingwerer are used in the production of Akori Gin. Kumquats are also known as dwarf oranges or dwarf bitter orange and belong to the rue family.

Akori Cherry Blossom Gin is characterised by Japanese cherry blossom as the main botanical. This gin combines rice-based grain alcohol with juniper and a selection of Japanese-inspired botanicals to create a unique flavour profile. Other botanicals include Ingwerer, kumquats and dragon fruit, which together with the delicate note of cherry blossom create a harmonious and aromatically complex spirit.
