The Deveron 10 Years Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, 40 per cent ABV, in a 0.7-litre bottle, including a gift box. It is produced at the Macduff Distillery in Scotland, which was founded in 1960 by four Scottish entrepreneurs. From the outset, the distillery adopted a pragmatic approach to whisky production, relying, amongst other things, on shell-and-tube condensers to re-liquefy the vapours produced during distillation. Macduff was designed as a gravity-fed Scotch whisky distillery, enabling production processes to be organised efficiently whilst reducing environmental impact. The Deveron embodies a deliberately accessible single malt style, designed to convey the finest Scottish whisky tradition without unnecessary complexity.
