Mata Hari Bitter Absinthe is an exceptional absinthe from Austria, which stands out from classic absinthes due to its high wormwood content and a subtler aniseed note. Produced by the long-established Fischer distillery in Vienna, it is based on a recipe dating back over 100 years and, with an alcohol content of 60 % vol., offers an intense and aromatic taste experience. Its robust, herb-driven profile makes it particularly versatile – suitable for both classic absinthe preparations and modern cocktails.
Unlike traditional absinthes, which are heavily dominated by aniseed, Mata Hari Bitter relies on a complex blend of wormwood, lemon balm, violet root, coriander, cinnamon and other aromatic herbs. This gives it a spicy, floral note with a slightly bitter finish that underlines its authenticity.
