Asbach GmbH, a renowned wine distillery in Rüdesheim am Rhein, uses only selected wines for its sophisticated rough and fine distillation process. The distillates are first matured in Limousin oak barrels and then in particularly air-permeable German oak barrels. These barrels offer the fine brandies optimum conditions to breathe and fully develop their flavours. A secret maturing and refining process gives each Asbach its radiant topaz colour and characteristic bouquet.

The bottle label is modelled on the original recipe from 1892, which the founder Hugo Asbach wrote down himself. The lion in the seal, the heraldic animal of the Asbach family, symbolises the courage of the founder as well as the strength and quality of the product.

Asbach Uralt has been produced from selected base wines to the highest quality standards since 1892. After being distilled several times, this brandy matures four to five times longer than required by law, first in barrels made from Langs oak and then in barrels made from German Spessart oak. This long maturation period and the careful selection of barrels give Asbach Uralt its characteristic, rich flavour and make it a classic among German brandies.
