Cockspur Original Fine Rum, also known as Cockspur Fine Rum 5 Star, is a traditional rum from Barbados, whose light and balanced style is closely linked to its Caribbean origins. It is made from sugar cane molasses sourced from the island, which is distilled and then blended with coral-filtered water. It is matured in oak casks, which gives the rum additional body without losing its comparatively light character. The result combines subtle woody notes and a delicate molasses sweetness with hints of vanilla and fresh accents. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, Cockspur Original Fine Rum is designed both for enjoying neat and for versatile use in classic rum-based cocktails.

Behind Cockspur Rum lies a rich history in Barbados, where the brand has had its roots since the 19th century. The Original Fine Rum embodies the approachable style of the range, combining Caribbean rum tradition with balanced cask maturation. The combination of molasses, coral-filtered water and ageing in oak casks defines its characteristic style. Thanks to its balance of citrus, vanilla, subtle wood and a hint of spice, Cockspur Fine Rum from Barbados remains highly versatile. The 0.7-litre bottle is therefore ideal both as a classic Barbados rum for the home bar and as a base for long drinks and cocktails.
