Tanqueray London Dry Gin is the result of the dedication and innovation of Charles Tanqueray, who spent many years developing the perfect formula for him. His efforts paid off, as Tanqueray gin has been produced using a traditional process based on four distillation runs since 1830.

Seville, the famous city in Spain, is not only known for its flamenco, but also for the oranges that bear its name. For much of the year, these bright gold and orange-coloured fruits adorn the city's trees. These are Seville oranges, a special variety of bitter orange that is less suitable for direct consumption due to its intense flavour.

Charles Tanqueray was inspired by these oranges. Instead of enjoying the fruit on its own, he used it to refine his gin recipes. Following this original recipe, Tanqueray now refines his Seville version with bitter oranges from the region.
