Description
The Antica Distilleria Domenico Sibona is situated in the Roero region, in the municipality of Piobesì d’Alba, just a few kilometres from Alba. What makes Grappa Sibona special is that it holds a unique distilling licence, No. 1 from the UTF. This special Grappa Riserva, distilled from the pomace of Muscat grapes and other Piedmontese grape varieties, was first aged for a long time in oak casks.
It was then refined for several months in casks on the island of Madeira, which had previously been used to mature Madeira wine from the most renowned wineries. This unique ageing process in Madeira casks, which had already been successfully applied to whisky casks, was pioneered by Sibona Grappa for grappa and results in outstanding quality characteristics. This innovative method lends the grappa an unrivalled depth and complexity that delights connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern refinement makes Grappa Riserva an outstanding product that impressively represents the long history and heritage of the Antica Distilleria Domenico Sibona.
