Olmeca Dark Chocolate Liqueur 20% ABV, 0.7 l, is an exceptional Mexican tequila liqueur that combines traditional tequila production with the intense flavour of dark chocolate. It is produced by the renowned Olmeca brand, which is part of the international Pernod Ricard Group. It is based on high-quality Olmeca Silver Tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, which is made from the Blue Weber agave. In traditional tequila production, the agave hearts are cooked in stone ovens and then crushed using millstones made of volcanic rock. For the Olmeca Dark Chocolate Liqueur, the tequila is blended with selected chocolate ingredients and sugar to create a harmonious liqueur speciality. With an alcohol content of 20% vol., this special tequila-based chocolate liqueur is bottled in a 0.7-litre bottle.

What makes Olmeca Dark Chocolate so special is the combination of two traditional Mexican culinary traditions: tequila made from agave and dark chocolate. The Olmeca brand thus draws on the long history of cocoa in Mexico and reinterprets it as a modern liqueur creation. Unlike classic tequila, this is a flavoured tequila liqueur which, thanks to its smoother texture and lower alcohol content, possesses a character all of its own. This successful combination was awarded a bronze medal at an international spirits competition as early as 2013. The Olmeca Dark Chocolate Liqueur from Mexico adds an exceptional chocolate speciality to the traditional Olmeca collection.
