Ableforth's Bathtub Gin is a handcrafted gin full of character, stylistically inspired by the traditions of the American Prohibition era and produced using the cold compounding method. This production principle, in which spices and botanicals macerate directly in the base alcohol, gives the gin its distinctive flavour and aromatic depth. Whereas in the 1920s, low-quality alcohol was often prepared in improvised containers such as bathtubs, today Ableforth's only uses high-quality alcohol distilled in pot stills. Only 30 to 60 bottles are produced for each batch, which emphasises the craftsmanship and exclusivity of this bottling.

The botanicals used include juniper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and orange peel, which give the gin its unmistakable character. The iconic, rustic packaging design with paper wrapping and wax seal is a deliberate homage to the historic spirit bottles of the Prohibition era. Bottled at 43.3 per cent by volume, the gin is aromatically dense, spicy and elegant at the same time, ideal for lovers of intense, classic gin profiles.
