Nestled between orchards and vineyards lies the historic Hödl Hof distillery, where fine spirits have been produced for generations in the old Styrian tradition. The quality of the spirits is guaranteed by the use of a 300-litre bootleg kettle and a 200-litre fine distillation kettle made of pure copper. The company's own fruit is transported directly from the orchards to the fermentation cellars, where it is fermented gently and at a controlled temperature. After the double distillation process, which reflects the essence of the old Styrian art of distilling, only the high-proof centrepiece of the brandy is extracted. This is then matured in wood, glass or stainless steel to perfect its character.

A special highlight is the Styrian fruit brandy, in which apples and pears are traditionally mashed and fermented together. The typical regional cider pears give the Obstler its mild fruitiness and balance. The fruit comes from the region's orchards and Hödl Hof's own orchard - a true homage to Styrian craftsmanship and love of nature.
