A distinctive feature of the distillery to this day is the now rare practice of directly firing the pot stills with charcoal, which contributes significantly to the robust, slightly toasted and smoky character of Yoichi single malts. The Yoichi Single Malt Japanese Whisky is bottled at 45% ABV and carries no age statement, allowing malt whiskies from the distillery that have been matured for varying lengths of time to be blended into a balanced whole.
