The Kilchoman LOCH GRUINART Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinctive bottling from the independent Kilchoman Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Founded in 2005, this farm distillery is situated in the west of the island and specialises in heavily peated single malts with a distinctly recognisable Islay character. This bottling is named after Loch Gruinart, an area of outstanding natural beauty in the north of Islay, known for its expansive bay and the surrounding nature reserve. With this whisky, Kilchoman highlights the close connection between the distillery, the island and its rugged Atlantic landscape. The Kilchoman Loch Gruinart is bottled at a robust 46% ABV and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box.

Stylistically, the Kilchoman Loch Gruinart Islay whisky embodies the blend of peaty smoke, maritime influences and malty depth for which Kilchoman is renowned. The distillery is one of Islay’s few independent distilleries and oversees numerous stages of production itself, with traditional production methods playing a key role. With its robust 46% ABV, this single malt retains a distinct character and is particularly suited to connoisseurs of smoky and peaty Islay whiskies. The combination of regional ties, the distillery’s distinctive character and its presentation in gift packaging also makes the Loch Gruinart an interesting bottling for Kilchoman collectors and Islay whisky tastings.
