The Eldvatten Svenska Bowmore 11 Years Old 2015 is a limited-edition single cask bottling of an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, selected by the Swedish independent bottler Svenska Eldvatten. The whisky was distilled in 2015 at the Bowmore Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay and, after 11 years of maturation, bottled at a robust 57.8 per cent, cask strength. Bowmore is one of Islay’s most historic distilleries, having been founded as early as 1779. The distillery is characterised by a blend of maritime island character, peat smoke and a comparatively balanced malt base. With this independent bottling, the focus is on the individual cask, which sets it apart significantly from the distillery’s regular original bottlings.
