The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters are highly concentrated cocktail bitters from Germany that lend classic and modern drinks a distinctive orange, spicy and bitter flavour. Behind The Bitter Truth brand are German bartenders Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck, who founded the company in 2006 and specialise in bitters, liqueurs and other products for discerning mixology. The Orange Bitters focus on the intense character of orange peel, combined with aromatic herbs and spices. The result is a complex flavouring for cocktails that, unlike a classic spirit, is not drunk in large quantities but is added sparingly in just a few dashes. With an alcohol content of 39 per cent, it has a robust base that reliably carries the concentrated flavours.

The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters are available in a handy 0.2-litre bottle and are suitable for both professional bars and a well-stocked home bar. Just a few dashes are enough to lend cocktails additional orange aroma, spice and a delicately tart depth. Orange bitters are among the most versatile cocktail flavourings and are particularly well-suited to recipes featuring gin, whisky, rum, cognac or vermouth. The concentrated form allows you to add specific orange notes to a drink without significantly altering its liquid balance. As such, The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters 39% combine precise dosing with complex citrus aromas and are suitable for both classic cocktail recipes and modern original creations.
