The Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters are aromatic cocktail bitters from Germany, specially developed to enhance drinks with a concentrated citrus and spicy flavour. Behind The Bitter Truth are German bartenders Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck, who founded the brand in 2006 and specialise in high-quality cocktail bitters, liqueurs and other bar products. The Lemon Bitters focus on different facets of the lemon, combining fresh citrus aromas with spicy and herbaceous notes. With a robust 39% alcohol content, this is a highly concentrated bar product which is not typically served neat in large quantities like a classic spirit, but is used sparingly to flavour cocktails and long drinks.

The Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters are available in a handy 0.2-litre bottle, which allows for precise and economical use in professional bar settings as well as in the home cocktail bar. Just a few dashes can lend a drink extra citrus freshness, bitterness and aromatic depth. Lemon Bitters are particularly useful for recipes where lemon flavours are desired without adding large quantities of lemon juice or extra liquid. This makes them an essential part of any versatile cocktail or home bar, and they can be used both to modify classic recipes and to create your own drinks. The combination of 39% alcohol by volume, concentrated lemon flavour and versatile dosing makes these bitters a functional tool for sophisticated cocktail preparation.
