Faer Isles Reipatari Dry Gin is a characterful dry gin from the Faroe Islands, whose recipe draws inspiration from the rugged maritime environment of the North Atlantic. The botanical that gives it its name is the locally harvested Reipatari seaweed (Himanthalia elongata). Following trials with various types of seaweed, this variety was selected for its nutty, fresh character. The seaweed lends the gin a subtle oceanic and maritime note without overpowering the classic gin character. The recipe is complemented by rhubarb and other botanicals, among other ingredients, creating a fresh flavour and a balanced profile. Reipatari Dry Gin is produced on the Faroe Islands using traditional craftsmanship and in small batches. Particular emphasis is placed on regional character and the use of sustainably cultivated local Reiptari seaweed as a natural botanical. The spirit also contains no artificial colourings. At 42.8 per cent, the gin has sufficient body to be enjoyed neat and for high-quality gin creations, whilst the maritime aromatics are deliberately kept subtle and balanced.
