This exclusive vintage bottling is produced by the long-established Leyrat house, whose history dates back to 1857. As a single estate cognac, all the grapes come exclusively from the domaine’s own vineyards in the renowned Fins Bois growing area of the Cognac region. This complete control over viticulture, distillation and ageing allows for an authentic expression of the respective vintage and terroir. The 2006 vintage was distilled exclusively from the grapes of that harvest and subsequently matured for many years in French oak casks, allowing its exceptional complexity and elegance to develop.

Distillation is carried out traditionally in Charentais copper pot stills, which ensures that the delicate fruit aromas and the wine’s distinctive character are preserved to the full. The long cask ageing lends the Leyrat Vintage 2006 a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, vanilla, delicate spices and refined woody notes.
